Specifically, I’m referring to Valve’s involvement in helping HTC develop its Vive VR headset.įirst showcased earlier this month during Mobile World Congress, the Vive VR is a true virtual reality headset that doesn’t rely on a smartphone or other gimmicks to work. While Half-Life 3 may indeed be under development at Valve, the company has been busy with other endeavors. Victor elected to go the subtle route rather than reskin the entire game which was probably a wise decision. You may remember Half-Life fan Filip Victor’s first graphics mod in 2009. In the meantime, perhaps a trip down memory lane with a remastered version of Half-Life 2 will suffice? Still, there’s no solid evidence that Valve is working on the title.
